School Meals for Students
As part of the “African Development Fund e.V.” efforts to support disadvantaged groups, particularly women, children, and girls, a pressing issue affecting schoolchildren has been highlighted: the problem of stunted growth due to malnutrition. The sight of children suffering from growth disorders because of inadequate nutrition cannot be overlooked, prompting the organization to launch a school nutrition project with two main goals.
The first goal is to help these children grow up healthy and strong by providing balanced meals that support their health and promote their growth.
The second goal is to attract children whose parents have had to send them to work early, often in illegal activities, to support the family. By providing free meals in schools, we hope to bring back these children who have dropped out of the education system and give them the opportunity to return to school and receive the education they deserve.
To achieve these goals, the organization is currently conducting a comprehensive study that includes a complete statistical analysis of the number of students and their age groups in schools, particularly in rural and urban areas. This data will be used to apply for funding from major international organizations like UNICEF to implement a project that provides free breakfast meals for students, thereby improving both the health and educational outcomes for these children.
