Our Mission

“We are committed to improving access to education, healthcare and vital resources in Africa in order to improve people's quality of life in the long term.”

Our mission at African Development Fund e.V. is to meet the development and humanitarian needs of African communities through sustainable projects and programs that focus on education, health and economic empowerment. Adhering to human values and ethical principles, we work to promote cooperation between Germany and Africa to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development.

Our mission at the African Development Fund e.V. is to achieve the goals of our organization through our various activities. One of the most important activities is the provision of medical facilities to improve health care, as Africa is one of the regions of the world that lacks basic medical facilities in some areas. This lack poses a real threat to the lives of children and mothers, especially in the first years of children’s lives and for mothers during pregnancy and childbirth. Therefore, the association focuses on setting up and equipping health centers and providing the necessary support to ensure that everyone has access to the medical care they need.

Our mission at African Development Fund e.V. is to support mothers and children, especially women and girls, by providing medical and psychological care in the stages of childhood and adolescence as well as for mothers during pregnancy and childbirth. Children in Africa suffer greatly from stunted growth, with over 60% of children affected by this problem, due to malnutrition, poor health conditions and lack of medical care. A high mortality rate is also observed among women during or after childbirth due to a lack of medical care and basic medical information, especially for mothers during their first birth. Therefore, the association focuses on providing the necessary support to improve the health of children and mothers and to ensure that they receive the necessary medical care and health information.

Our mission is to provide humanitarian aid and support to those in need through sustainable projects and programs that focus on education, health and the empowerment of people, while respecting human values and ethical principles.

Our mission at African Development Fund e.V. is to promote health and sustainable development in Zanzibar through the construction of a self-financed hospital in the town of Nungwi. The project involves the construction of a modern six-storey hospital, with the lower two floors housing a shopping center and two bank branches to support operating costs, while the upper floors provide hotel apartments to support the hospital and housing for doctors and nurses. We aim to provide outstanding and sustainable healthcare by making the best use of local and international resources.

General framework for the implementation plan for sustainable development in East Africa

To assist in the formulation of the Sustainable Development Implementation Plan for East Africa, I will propose a general framework that can be used to organize ideas and projects into three main areas. These areas can include vital issues such as health, education and economic empowerment. I will introduce this framework to you.

Area 1: Improving health care

Improving access to quality healthcare by building and developing sustainable healthcare facilities in Zanzibar, Tanzania, Kenya, Somalia and Djibouti. This area includes the construction of self-financed hospitals, such as the Nungwi Hospital in Zanzibar, the provision of vocational training for health workers and the promotion of telemedicine.

Area 2: Promotion of education and vocational training

Promoting educational and vocational training opportunities by building schools and vocational training centers and providing scholarships for outstanding students from disadvantaged communities. This area also aims to develop curricula that meet the needs of the local market and train teachers.

Area 3: Economic empowerment and sustainable development

Enabling the economic empowerment of communities through the development of small and medium scale projects that support the local economy and provide sustainable employment. This area includes supporting entrepreneurship, improving agricultural infrastructure and promoting access to finance through partnerships with local banks.

Implementation plan for each area

For each of these areas, clear objectives should be set, activities and sub-projects defined, a timeline for implementation established, resources (financial and human) allocated and key performance indicators (KPIs) established to measure progress. The implementation plan for each area should include the clear objectives, activities and sub-projects, the timetable for implementation, the allocation of resources (financial and human) and the establishment of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress.
